Baptiste Lesquerré-Caudebez, a Master’s student from Polytech Dijon, developed a gamified VR-haptics framework for palpation training under the supervision of the project leader. This work, titled “Touch and Learn: A Gamified VR-Haptics Framework for Skillful Palpation Training,” was presented at the International Symposium on Biomechatronics and Robotics in Healthcare (BioMRH 2025), held in Brussels, Belgium, from September 20-23, 2025. This research is part of the ImmersiveSurgicalEdu project, funded by Erasmus+, in collaboration with Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, and the University of Siena (Università degli Studi di Siena). The focus of the research was on enhancing medical training through immersive VR-haptic technologies, gamification, and skill development for surgical education. The presentation highlighted the innovative integration of VR and haptics in palpation training, aiming to improve the skill level of medical professionals through an engaging and interactive learning experience.
